Firstly, a massive thank you for accepting my art to the RWA’s 167th Annual Open Exhibition. I join a hugely impressive line-up of artists who have been a part of this show since the inaugural exhibition in 1844, from the Newlyn School, St Ives Modernists and Bloomsbury Group to some of the most internationally respected artists working today. I am thrilled and so so proud. It is spectacular and extremely competitive.
We know how important sales are to artists, and the RWA’s share in each sale is an essential source of income to them too, going towards the £800,000 they need to raise each year to keep the doors open. They hope that the online sales system they’ve invested in will help everyone by enabling anyone, anywhere to buy the work (including editions where relevant), but first they have to know it’s there! So hence why I’m putting it her in my blog.
